Hiiii!! I’m Lizett! Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I’m so glad you’re here!
Reading has been something I have deeply loved for as long as I can remember. Accelerated Reading in school fed my soul when I was a kid, that’s when I knew how special books are. My most read and favorite genres include contemporary, fantasy, and romance. I love both YA and adult books, and I also enjoy the occasional thriller and memoir.
I recently (in Feb 2019) found the courage to start a Bookstagram, which then prompted me to start this blog. I’ve thought about doing this whole “talking about books” thing for a couple of years and I finally did, YAY!
I post reviews and recommendations regularly on my Bookstagram. I also post all of my reviews on Goodreads and on this blog!
Please feel free to contact me at lizettylreads@outlook.com for inquiries regarding my reading and reviewing your book, or any other general questions you may have.
In case you’re interested, a few other tidbits about me:
- I’m a Texas girl, I have lived here all 30 years of my life, so I say “y’all” a lot, and I call any type of soda “a coke”.
- I’m bilingual, I speak English (obvs) and Spanish. My parents are from Mexico, so I grew up speaking Spanish and didn’t actually learn English until I started elementary school. I can also read and write in Spanish.
- I love traveling, and I try to go on at least one big vacation a year. My favorite places I have visited are New York City, Cancun/Playa del Carmen, and Disney World! I would love to travel to Europe and Greece someday!
- My family is everything to me! I come from a huge Mexican family, and I have tons of aunts, uncles, and cousins. I have two older sisters, I’m the baby 😉 and I have 6 nephews, two great nephews, and one great niece. Being an auntie is my favorite thing in life! Those kiddies have my heart!
- Lastly, here’s a crazy jumble of things I love with my whole heart: Live Music (Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran are the best concerts I’ve been to), Pride & Prejudice (the book, the movie, and the Lizzie Bennet diaries), The Greatest Showman, Disney movies, Netflix, podcasts, Orphan Black, unsweet tea, iced coffee, dance, word searches, makeup, candles, Christmas, and books, of course!
